UTU album is No.1
Hello! We’ve some news and updates. Firstly the new UTU album is No.1 on the European World Music Chart. Secondly band played brilliant concert on 26th April Jazz Festival in Espoo at the end of the month. Another news is that two of Värttinä’s albums was nominated to The Best of Finnish Folk CD’s Collection in Kantelar – Finnish Folk Music Facebook-ranking . Speak of Oi Dai (1991) and Iki (2003).

Tour dates
New tour calendar was announced. Unfortunately two from only five gigs are still not confirmed. The list of concerts is very short, we have hope that this will be change. More about gigs on CONCERTS page. Farther we want to share information, that the new Värttinä album UTU is on 2nd place on the European World Music Chart. More updates on FanClub site soon.

Lyrics translations
Today more updates, mainly in Translations section on the DISCOGRAPHY page. We added lyrics translations for albums Iki (2003), Ilmatar (2000), Kokko (1996) and Aitara (1994) for now. Other news is interview in English from 2006 on the Vapaa Sana (Finnish weekly of North America). Interview is about Lord of the Rings Musical, if you want to read, go to the MEDIA page and then Interviews section. Works on improvement other sites will be continued. So check us later! And dear Fans we still waiting for more of your photos from Värttinä’s gigs.

Changes and updates
Dear Fans during few weeks we made some changes on the our Fan-Club page. Everything for sharing with you more and more information about the band. For those who don’t check yet we made new MEMBERS page (where you can read about current members and soon more about past and co-operating members too), new CONCERTS
page and new design of the ‘Videos’ section on the MEDIA page (now you can choose directly which video you want to watch, no playlist anymore). We still waiting for your photos from Värttinä’s gigs. We’re constantly updating ‘Live photos’ section in the GALLERY. We’re working now at new and more clear version of ‘Collaborations’ section in the DISCOGRAPHY page, so you will be able to read more about others Värttinä’s projects. And more changes soon, especially in MEMBERS, GALLERY and MEDIA pages.
